Milestone moment: With the completion of Operation Ramp It Up’s latest ramp for 4-year-old Jack Welfl, the organization has now installed more than 240 wheelchair ramps across all 50 U.S. states.
Humble beginnings: “(I’ve) been with UPS for a lot of years, and it’s been very good for my family and myself,” Greg said. “And I just wanted to give back to the community, so I started volunteering with different nonprofits. (I) had an opportunity to build a ramp for a veteran’s spouse at the time. “We get to the house and she’s just looking out the window, she can’t get out of the house … within two hours we had a ramp built.”
Congratulations to Greg and all the Jim Casey Community Service Award finalists making a difference in their communities!
